Alloy aluminum die casting is simply a chemical composition in which other elements are added to pure aluminum to enhance its properties, primarily to increase its strength. These elements include iron, silicon, copper, magnesium, manganese and zinc, and they may make up as much as 15% of the alloy by weight.

• 380 Alloy: The 380 (or A380) aluminum die casting alloy is the most common and economical of the aluminum alloys
• 390 Alloy: Its high silicon content makes this alloy ideal for parts that are subject to high wear conditions
• 413/713 Alloy: This is generally used when an application requires additional corrosion resistance
• 714 Alloy: This unique, malleable alloy can be formed after casting without fracturing

Like high-pressure aluminum die cast parts, aluminum alloy die casting produces components that are lightweight, strong, hard and stiff. They withstand high temperatures, offer corrosion resistance as well as thermal and electrical conductivity, provide dimensional stability and have good finishing characteristics.
