Investment cast 316 stainless steel are the second most popular in the world. It is distinguished by the presence of molybdenum, which accounts for around 2 to 3 percent of the entire composition and ensures a higher level of corrosion resistance.

Specifications:
Investment cast 316 stainless steel is an extra low carbon version of 316, this is easy to remember, as the L stands for “low.” But even though it has less carbon, 316L is very similar to 316 in almost every way. Cost is very similar, and both are durable, corrosion-resistant, and a good choice for high-stress situations.

Properties
- Outstanding corrosion resistance and tensile strength
- At high temperatures, high creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength
- Rust-resistant, salt and calcium brine resistant
- Annealing, or heat treatment, can be done at temperatures ranging from 1,900 to 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit (1,038 to 1,149 degrees Celsius)
